Peaches and CreamHigh Hill Press asked its authors to show us where they work. When Bill sent the picture below I figured he moved all his living room furniture out for the day and put a desk in so he could show us a real dandy of a workplace. But, I got to thinking and decided that with Bill's orderly mind, I'm sure his office is just as neat and tidy. Bill's writing is as precise as his decorating, and his short story collection, Peaches and Cream, shows it. The plots are tied up, the mysteries are solved and the characters come alive on the page. As editor of High Hill Press, I get to read a lot of manuscripts. Very few come to us as polished as Bill's did. And once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. The title comes from one of the stories about two kind-hearted strippers named Peaches and Cream. Just like Hollywood has learned, you can't go wrong with a kind-hearted soiled dove in your story. A copy of Bill's book can be found on Amazon.com, or you can order it from your local Barnes and Noble, or Borders bookstore.
